Story time. Zoey still likes story time if it's a story she's interested in. Zelda qualifies of course. It's a series that Zia and Max are both into too.

Making cookies with grandma. Zia likes to help cook or bake.

Zoey reading this blog to Zia.

Zia has been pretending to be a baby today after reading about herself being a baby on the blog. Here she has "fallen asleep" on dad's shoulder.

Zoey with an amaryllis that our neighbor gave her. Our neighbor has been doing a little emailing with Zoey, chatting about mutual bird love. And she has left little gifts for the kids on several occasions. It's been a fun thing for the kids. We were all excited when we successfully grew the amaryllis and it bloomed. Max cracks me up in the background of this picture. He must be having a big laugh with Zia.

Zoey drew this for Zia. Zia likes this character Midna from Zelda.
Buddies. And really showing off our peeling fake leather office chair I just noticed. It's so nice that the kids have each other during all this social distancing. They get along so well for the most part.

Books make really great animal houses.
So cool.

Just being cute.
Basking in sister love.
Zia being goofy.

Max reading out loud.
Zia was so excited when she got a new box of hand me down clothes. She and Zoey spent the evening picking and trying on outfits.

"Mom, I love you mom ok." Zia likes to write messages. She really likes a game called mail girl right now. She likes to have each person go in a separate bedroom and close the door. Each room is a house. Zoey goes around knocking and collecting/delivering mail.

Here they are playing store. Pretty sure they were stalling on doing school, but considering their stall tactic involved making and counting different money values, I felt like the joke was on them.
And sometimes baby Z really does take a nap. Not very often.
Readathon with popcorn next to the fire.
We got a food scale for Zoey's science fair project and the kids immediately turned it into a game. So cute.
Here is Tim helping Zoey build a wind tunnel for her project. She made different bird wing shapes out of styrofoam and we anchored them to a food scale. She recorded the weight before and after turning on the fan, and saw which wing shapes got the most lift. She was picked to move from her school district on to the regional science fair. She was so excited. The regional fair isn't for a couple more weeks.
Zia climbs up on Tim's shoulders every chance she gets.
Winter to do list: make gingerbread mans, make funny faces, make hot chocolate.
The napkin on her head warranted a picture. According to her.
This is what happens when Zia gets your phone.

Zoey reading Zia a story that papa wrote for Zia. It includes her favorite, Scar the lion.
